We started working on this project with Lutz Klingman in 2007 for budgeting and preliminary design work. The project finally received all approvals and started construction in 2013 and was completed in 2016. We constructed all of the Crushing Plant and Conveyor Foundations, the Workshop Warehouse, Assay Laboratory, Merrill Crowe Facility, Guard Shack and their Fueling Station. This work included foundations, pre-engineered metal buildings, structural steel, framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

The project was a designed project, but we offered our customer a $1 million dollar value engineering credit to re-design a 100' tall sight barrier structure. This project included structural steel columns that went from the existing floor to the roof trusses above, with tube steel girders that allowed a vinyl sight barrier to be installed. Metal studs and drywall secured the bottom 16'. Secured areas inside the perimeter were then built out of metal studs and drywall. Utilities such as air, water, and electrical were then installed per the customers direction. We believe that Value Engineering is a key component to contracting and working with our customer to give them a quality project at less of a cost.

This project was a construction manager/general contractor project. We worked through the pre construction process with the engineers and then put the project out to bid to qualified sub contractors. It included a remodel of 100,000 sq. interior high bay and 30,000 sq.' of offices, 11,000 sq. Pre Engineered Canopy, Oven, Free Standing 7.5 Ton Cranes, Insulation, Roofing, Hangar Door Upgrade, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Sprinklers, Fire Alarm, Security, Metal Stud Framing/Drywall, Paint, Fencing, Doors/Hardware, T-Bar, SCIF Construction.

The project was to construct an aircraft test stand. The project included demolishing existing concrete paving, grading, excavating for a 10' deep foundation, constructing concrete foundations, retaining walls and a suspended reinforced deck. New paving was then constructed around the foundation.

Challenger Business Park was comprised of 4 ea. medical buildings, 1 ea. office building and 2 ea. retail buildings for Martin Properties. The total square footage for all 7 buildings totaled 58,800 sq.' The buildings were of wood framed construction with a plaster finish. Work included grading, on site utilities, off site utilities, street improvements, traffic signal work, concrete foundations, wood framing, insulation, structural steel, plaster, built up roofing, glazing, doors/hardware, paint, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinklers, fire alarm, asphalt paving, site concrete, and landscaping. The project came in on time and under budget.

We have been completing ride foundations and buildings for SFMM since 1990. These include Crazanity, Full Throttle, Cyclone, Flashback, Batman Stunt Show, Batman Gotham City, Ninja Hill, Riddler, Goliath, Superman, Hurricane Harbor, Tornado, X2, Deja Vu, Tatsu, Scream, Apocalypse, Thomas the Train, Roadrunner, Green Lantern, Lex Luther, and Justice League. Our work for the ride construction includes demolition, grading, excavation, caisson construction, foundations, and building construction. Finalizing the rides is the walkways and ramps that give the ride the finishing touch. In 1994 we received "Concrete Industry Award Of Excellence" for Gotham City Park/Ninja Hill Midway presented by Southern California Ready Mixed Concrete Association and California Cement Promotion Council.

The existing buildings high bay area was completely gutted and turned into a manufacturing facility. A free standing crane system, jib crane, spray booths and work stations were constructed inside the existing high bay area. This high bay area included new HVAC equipment with distribution, Air, water and electrical were distributed to each work station. The addition included new building foundations, new oven foundations, structural steel, insulated wall panels, bi-folding door, fencing, and a new electrical sub-station. Time was an issue with this project and we came in ahead of schedule.

This project was as tough as they come due to location and weather conditions. We had winds up to 100 mph, snow, and rain during the project, but everybody kept marching forward until the goal was accomplished. Grading started the project with rocky soil conditions and due to the location we had to construct retaining walls to hold back the hillside and divert water from running onto the site. Concrete foundations were then constructed for a 13,300 sq.' pre-engineered metal building with hangar doors. The bldg. was equipped with a crane system, offices and restroom facilities. HVAC, water system, fire sprinklers, electrical, fire alarm, completed the inside of the project. Site work included relocating power lines, running power to the bldg. installing a water tank, septic system and paving around the bldg. with asphalt.

This project was to demolish and grade 200,000 sq.' of an existing area and turn it into an active taxiway. 100,000 sq.' of 13" thick concrete was formed, reinforced and paved along with another 100,000 sq.' of asphalt shoulders. 30,000 sq.' of concrete retention basin was added to deal with the additional drainage. All areas were sealed with jet fuel resistant sealant.

The project was to refurbish the site where the Space Shuttle was built and maintained. Existing offices, mezzanines, and machines were demolished. Existing mezzanines and restrooms were remodeled and the entire 50,000 sq. of hangar space was painted and the floor was epoxy finished. The exterior of the building received a new paint job and the site was repaved, slurry coated and striped. The project came in on schedule for the users who were under a tight schedule with the air force.

This project was to build a 15,000 sq.' building inside of an existing building. The structure was a "Big Top" tubular arched structure that was anchored to concrete and covered the entire width of the existing building. Once the structure was erected and exterior canvas was attached to the exterior of the structure, insulation was then attached to the structure and then an interior canvas was attached to the bottom of the structure. To lighten the load on the structure "Duct Sox" were used on the interior in lieu of standard ducting. Lighting was hung from the structure and floor mounted foam generators provided the fire protection for the bldg. Interior office space was also given a complete makeover. On the outside new foundations for the ECU units were installed along with foundations for the structural steel duct supports. Ducting tied into the bldg and was run to the ECU units on the exterior.

This project was the most special project we have ever worked on. It was a joy to be a part of such a special project and be associated with such special people at the YMCA. Their goal to "build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities" really hit home and was a driving force to the success of the project. The building consisted of 31,000 sq.' of office space, locker rooms, child care, weight lifting, dance rooms, cycling rooms, activity rooms and an indoor swimming pool natatorium. The project started as a LEED Certified Building, but shifted gears into a LEED Silver Building. The project included demolition, grading, off site utilities, site utilities, concrete foundations, structural steel, wood framing, masonry, drywall, insulation, foam roof system, flooring, glazing, millwork, paint, doors/hardware, swimming pool, dehumidification, solar pool heating, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire sprinklers, fire alarm, landscaping, and concrete/asphalt paving. The project came in on time and on budget and we thank the YMCA for choosing us for this project.

The Central Plant Addition was a teamed effort with Chevron. Chevron provided construction management, electrical and mechanical, while Gary Little Construction, Inc. handled all other trades on the project. Approx. 9,300 sq.' addition including demolition, grading, concrete foundations, cooling tower foundations, equipment foundations, masonry walls, structural steel, metal decking, concrete decking, Sarnafil roofing, glazing, doors/hardware, roll up doors, paint, fire alarm, fire sprinklers, access control, paving, striping and landscaping. Coordination was the key to this project and the project came in a success.

The design-build project had a varied scope, which included tearing down an existing 24,000 sq.' storage building all the way to the structural frame, seismically upgrading the structure, installing new future tank line foundations, insulated wall panels, skylights, paint/coatings, doors/hardware, drywall/metal studs, HVAC, piping, fire sprinkler, electrical, fire alarm, security, access control, storm water management, and concrete paving. The goal of the project was to achieve a LEED Silver certificate for the project. We not only met this requirement, but went above and beyond to meet the LEED GOLD requirements.

10 West Plaza had a total of 4 ea. retail buildings. The square footage totaled 56,500 sq.' The work included concrete foundations, wood framing, drywall, insulation, structural steel, plaster, built up roofing, glazing, doors/hardware, paint, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinklers, fire alarm, and landscaping. All site utilities and site work were handled separately by others, and coordination was key. The plaza is one of the premier centers in the Antelope Valley.

These two storage projects are the most appealing storage centers in the Antelope Valley. The Palmdale store has 80,000 sq.' of storage units and includes covered RV Storage. The Lancaster store has 100,000 sq.' of storage units and also includes RV Storage. Both storage facilities include climate controlled storage buildings and have state of the art security systems. The projects included grading, site utilities, off site utilities, concrete foundations, masonry, pre-engineered metal buildings, pre-engineered RV Canopies, HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinklers, electrical, security, fire alarm, concrete/asphalt paving, and fully furnished sales offices.

The Antelope Valley Union High School District Offices Remodel was a complete remodel of an existing 50,000 sq.’ space. Demolition, Concrete, Wood Framing, Metal Stud Framing/Drywall, Acoustical Ceiling, Paint, Wall Coverings, Tile, Flooring, Partitions/Accessories, Window Shades, Upholstery, Millwork, Storefront, Doors/Hardware, Marker Boards, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Sprinklers, Electrical, Communications, Fire Alarm, and Parking Lot Upgrades. The project was a success on schedule and on budget right through the heart of the Covid pandemic.

This construction project was to construct a new machine foundation inside of an existing hangar. The entire hangar floor was demolished and the soil was excavated down 9' into the ground for over-excavation and re-compaction. Shoring was then installed to construct the foundation. A 5' thick reinforced foundation with 1" thick embed plates and rails was then built. Fire rated drywall construction from floor to +/-50' was constructed around the entire perimeter, t-bar ceiling at 40', epoxy coated floor, HVAC, fire sprinklers, and electrical to power the machine. This was a limited access project, access was from one direction only and there was only 5' around the foundation to work.
